SGT 74D NCOER Bullets: 4 Examples at Company CBRN NCO Scope
A SGT 74D is very often the only CBRN Soldier in the company: one NCO responsible for the CBRN room, every protective mask, and a formation’s ability to survive a contaminated fight. The NCOER should quantify equipment serviceability, training conducted, and inspections passed.

The company CBRN NCO runs a one-person program with formation-wide accountability: protective masks maintained and fitted for every Soldier, CBRN defense equipment serviceable and inventoried, the annual mask confidence exercise executed safely, CBRN tasks trained across the company, and the program inspected by battalion and higher with findings written down. Every one of those produces a number or a grade the rater can check.
At SGT the form is DA Form 2166-9-1, two boxes (DA PAM 623-3 ¶3-6a). The calibration below sets the strength of the sentence in the same ¶3-11a terms that will govern four-box reports from SSG onward.

Why this reads at Far Exceeded strength: only-commendable-of-6 is a peer-distribution fact in inspection currency, and running the battalion’s highest-risk CBRN event is the chain acting on it. Both ¶3-11a(4) markers, both on record.
// 06Common mistakes on SGT 74D NCOERs
The one-NCO program written small. A company CBRN program run alone is formation-scale responsibility. State the population served and the inspection grade; modesty here reads as a minor additional duty.
Training counted in classes instead of capability. Classes taught is input. The company’s task training rate, mask fit rate, and exercise performance are the capability the commander owns; write those numbers.
