Readiness numbers without consequence. 90% operational readiness matters because of what it bought: no missed gates at gunnery, no tank dropped from the rotation. Attach the consequence and the maintenance bullet becomes a mission bullet.

Distinguished crews claimed without denominators. “2 distinguished crews” lands differently when the battalion fielded 14 crews and 3 went distinguished. The context is one clause and it doubles the bullet’s weight.
